HOW TO NEVER BOOST YOUR METABOLISM
If there’s one thing everyone wants to do to lose fat, that is to boost their metabolism.
And it makes sense why.
When increasing your metabolism, you get the chance to burn more fat while doing the same activities, allowing you to lose more weight and keep losing weight…
or so it’s thought.
But focusing on boosting your metabolism is like focusing on changing the weather.
Not only because you’re never going to directly impact it and there is no reason to focus on it, but it’s also because you’re focusing on something you cannot control.
Whenever someone says:
“You’ll boost your metabolism by eating every 2–3 hours”…
“Whenever you eat this drink or eat this, you’ll boost your metabolism”
…it’s just not possible.
Why?
Because you can’t directly affect your metabolism while focusing on it.
What you can do is affect it by making sure you’re doing what you’re supposed to do anyway.
Do resistance training and work out at least a couple of times per week.
Make sure you’re eating high-quality food that has fibre, protein and unsaturated fats so you meet your daily target.
That’s what (over time) boosts your metabolism.
